About Membership

The BLS tries to cater for all ladies in Kuwait. Although the Society is predominantly to support the British ladies in Kuwait, membership is open to all Ladies who reside here.

We have daytime and evening activities with some that are for ladies only and some that include friends and partners. There is something for everyone! We are a fun and outgoing group of ladies and are always happy to welcome new friends.

 We hope you will consider joining the women currently enjoying the activities and benefits of the British Ladies Society. The membership fee for the year (1st October to 30th September) is 35 KD.

Types of Membership

Full Members

The BLS membership is open to any woman aged 18 years and over residing in Kuwait who can answer yes to any of the following questions:

• You hold a British passport;
• Your husband holds a British Passport;
• One of your parents holds a British Passport;
• You hold a passport of those countries whose affairs are currently represented by the British Embassy in Kuwait.

Associate Members

Women who don’t meet the above criteria can apply to become Associate Members.

Associate Membership is open to ladies of all nationalities, 18 years or older, who reside in Kuwait. At the moment we have a short waiting list to become an Associate Member but if you complete an online application form, your name can be added to the waiting list. You are more than welcome to join us at the weekly library morning at our premises for more information about events, activities and future coffee morning locations.
